A Complete Guide To Visiting Marrakech for 2 Days

The beauty of Marrakech is in the detail.

Fall in love with its energy, its colours, the smells and the people. Marrakech has a lot to offer, but all the highlights can be seen in two days! Check out how we'd see the best of Marrakech in two days.

Day 1

Koutoubia Mosque

The spell-binding architecture of the mosque is a tourist attraction in itself. The 250 feet or 70 meters tall minaret is a major tourist attraction here. Only Muslims are allowed to visit inside. You can still admire its exteriors which are equally stunning!

Jemaa el-Fnaa

Jemaa el-Fnaa is a bustling and atmospheric marketplace and a popular square of the old city of Marrakesh. Located in the medina quarters, Jemaa el-Fnaa is best enjoyed just after dark.

Bahia Palace The Bahia Palace (Palais de la Bahia) is one of Marrakech’s most imposing buildings. It was constructed at the end of the nineteenth century and intended to be the most impressive palace ever. The palace is most famous for its decoration. Its walls feature stucco carved with Arabic inscriptions, geometric patterns, arabesques, and muqarnas.

Day 2

Jardin Majorelle

The garden started in 1924, contains a psychedelic desert mirage of 300 plant species from five continents. In 1980, fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé bought Jardin Majorelle to preserve the original vision.

Almoravid Koubba

Today the importance of this building is not only historical; its style also had a huge influence on Moroccan architecture. The abundance of decorative elements of the dome is particularly important, such as palms, pine cones, and tree leaves.

Moroccan Hammam

A hammam is a traditional Moroccan spa. It is the place to relax, unwind and detoxify. A trip to Marrakesh is incomplete without a visit to a traditional Moroccan hammam. While the new-age hammam has metamorphosed into a spa-like luxurious experience, the traditional hammam experience remains a favourite.
